Concussion Information:
Effective January 1, 2012, school districts offering athletic programs are required to immediately address suspected concussions and head injuries sustained by athletes during school-sponsored athletic activities.
The new legislation, Assembly Bill No. 25, contains the following requirements:

- Any athlete suspected of sustaining a concussion or head injury during an athletic activity shall be immediately removed from the activity for the remainder of the day.
- The athlete may not return to the activity until he or she is evaluated by a licensed health care provider trained in the management of concussions and given written clearance to return by that provider.
- The athlete and his or her parent or guardian must sign and return a “head injury information sheet” once each school year following a concussion or head injury, prior to beginning practice or competitions.
Parents: You can get our "head injury information sheet" from our Certified Athletic Trainer, Jack Sessions. If you suspect your child has sustained a concussion, please notify their coach and/or Jack immediately.
